ControlBLADE USERS!!

Hey everybody!!

I'm just wondering how many of you have purchased the ControlBLADE and how do you like it? I just ordered my 61 key CB and am waiting for everything to go thru. I really wanted the StudioBLADE 88 key but it's just out of my budget range....Just wanted to know how users are liking it and if theres people out there that produce Hip-Hop,RNB,Club RNB and Rap beats, how do you like it?

Re: ControlBLADE USERS!!

remyproductionz - Hello fellow controlblade owner!  I have been using a controlblade 61 with just the i3 processor and 4GB of RAM for a while now and have been able to produce music and even do video editing without any problems.  It's such a great keyboard because it's light and easy to use.   I wanted to get the studioblade too, but it was out of my budget, so I figure I can start with the controlblade and then move up to the studioblade.  The price was right and like I said, my "entry-level" configurations still kicks butt.  The guys at music computing told me I can upgrade the processor and ram anytime and I don't have to send it back to them.  I did the math and for like around $3K I can get it with the i7 processor, 8GB ram and a 3TB hard drive.  I know that studioblade can handle more, but that's really what I think I will need for a long time.  In any case, don't stress you didn't get the studioblade because I'm totally happy with my controlblade.

Re: ControlBLADE USERS!!

Right now we are learning and getting use to the workflow in the studio, however we will using it on or gigs sequencing live backing tracks (audio/video)  with my wife. She runs and operates the StudioBlade and I switch off on bass and guitar. We both sing and perform many genres of music and sound like a 5 or 6 piece band with full orchestration. Please feel free to visit our website at www (dot) imagineusa.org

Re: ControlBLADE USERS!!

@remyproductionz  - Cool and if you ever walk into a professional studio or hang with other producers, just tell them you "got the latest piece from Victor Wong" and watch their jaws drop.  Then tell them how little you paid and watch them freak out.   I've had guys with mikos and nekos straight up jump out of their chairs to come check out my controlblade.  It's really funny.   I never knew how famous Victor is...but he really is.

Re: ControlBLADE USERS!!

Congrats to remyproductionz on your new ControlBlade and welcome to the Music Computing community of owners! Victor has been the God-Father for all my Open Labs and Music Computing workstations and both him and Ed continue to support and respect me as an artist even though I am a small town aging music trying to learn the newest technologies that are available. ENJOY BIG TIME my friend!
